1  Install the Seekdown AI Assistant Plugin

 Download the Seekdown plugin for Wordpress

 Log in to WordPress admin dashboard and add the plugin you just downloaded.

Activate the plugin.

2  Configure the plugin in Wordpress

In your admin panel go to Settings > Seekdown and insert your assistant's ID. If the assistant requires API key, insert your API key: click here to copy If your assistant runs as a floating button, mark the checkbox to add the assistant to all the pages. Click on "Save Changes".

3  Customize your AI assistant Settings

With the connection in place, you can configure how the chatbot appears and behaves on your WordPress site. The Seekdown plugin settings will let you customize options such as:

 Display Position: Choose where the chat widget appears (e.g., bottom-right corner is common).

 Color Theme and Avatar: Match the chatbot’s color scheme to your website’s branding.

 Welcome Message: Craft a friendly greeting or prompt that users see when the chat opens.

 AI Behavior: Specify how the AI will respond to the user's input

4  Test the AI assistant live

With everything configured, it’s time to test!

 Visit your WordPress site as a normal visitor would. You should see the chat or search widget on the page.

 Interact with your AI assistant. Ask a few common customer questions to see how it responds.

This testing ensures that the connection with Seekdown is working and that the bot is answering using the correct knowledge base.

If something isn’t right (for example, if the bot says it doesn’t have data), double-check the configuration in your Seekdown account to ensure the assistant has the necessary content indexed.
